Parkside Church participates in the Rest Assured mattress ministry, which contributes to Love INC., a ministry that provides basic needs to struggling families in our area. As a church, we provide mattresses and deliver them to families in need in western Carver County.

Following the list of preferred fresh vegetables requested by our local food shelf, our approximate 20 gardeners with varied levels of experience, enthusiastically plant donated seeds. Our faith, hope and expectation of answered prayer is encouraged by the witness of seedlings appearing in the middle of winter.
The call of obedience with regular watering, tending to unexpected disease, pests of all sizes and perseverance through hot and humid weather, bring us nearer to the harvest. The goal of making our Living Jesus real to families in need is provided by hundreds of pounds of our freshly grown produce. Whether we built, nurtured the gardens, or harvested, prepared or delivered our gifts, one hopefully can see glimpses of Jesus through the smiles of appreciation in the eyes of staff, clients and one another. As we exercise our means of intended generosity, we are blessed through the many times we allow our Lord to smile at and within ourselves.
